As of today, February 18, 2013, Uhles Drug Store will no longer be open for operation. But don’t worry, Paul and Janice Lawson, owners, will open their new store, under a new name, at a new location that day.
Antlers Pharmacy, formally known as Uhles Drug Store, is located at 810 East Main in Antlers, across the street from Sharpe’s. The same friendly and professional staff will be their to greet and assist you with all of your needs.

It's true! There are now 6 zebra living just outside Antlers in Pushmataha County, Oklahoma!
Becky Franks, owners/operators of Rebel Hill Guest Ranch, has proudly added zebra to the list of many things guests can enjoy while visiting her Guest Ranch located just outside Antlers on Ethel Road. That’s right, six of these wonderful creatures graze alongside a shimmering pond just miles from downtown Antlers.

Over the weekend a live MMA Fight took place at the Grant Choctaw Casino Event Center. Attendees were thrilled to watch every punch of this hard-hitting mixed martial arts
sport as the Rage on the River returned to the casino for the second time, “Revenge.”
Local assistant manager at Sonic, Perry Cannon, stepped into the octagon against Mike Wright, a fighter from Ft. Smith, TX., but the fight didn’t last long. After a mere 33 seconds into the first round, Cannon won the bout with a guillotine choke, leaving his opponent unable to fend Cannon off.

Stewart G. Holmes, of Wister, passed away following a collision that occurred on February 8, 2013. He passed away on Feb. 9th at 7:30 a.m. at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa due to injuries sustained in the collision.
The collision occurred on HWY 271 and Cephas Roberts Road near Albion in Pushmataha County.
Holmes’ 2005 Nissan Altama was westbound on HWY 271 and ran off the roadway to the left for unknown reasons and struck a tree. The driver, Holmes, was pinned for 25 minutes before being freed by Clayton and Talihina Fire Departments when they utilized the Jaws of Life.
