The Rattan Rams took home their second consecutive spring state title despite a month layover. Last Tuesday, Wright City was reinstated and the tournament resumed the following Thursday.
Their state tournament journey began more than a month ago with a 15-5 quarterfinal run rule of Thomas-Fay-Custer. Hours after the contest the tournament was suspended.
The Rams didn’t waste any time in extras putting two runs across in the top of the eighth and finishing off the Tigers in the bottom half of the inning with the 5-3 final.

On Saturday morning, June 1, couples arrived at the Potapo boat ramp on McGee Creek Lake to participate in the Annual Husband-wife Bass Tournament. However, after discussing current weather conditions and a forecast calling for heavy rain and possibly severe thunderstorms during the first half of the day, members voted to postpone the tournament and fish fry that was scheduled after the tournament until Saturday, June 22. Fishing times will remain the same from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with a shore side fish fry to follow immediately after the weigh-in.
