Citizens for Honesty, Openness and Accountability, with members from throughout the Southeast Oklahoma area, filed 2,700 signatures of Choctaw Electric Cooperative (â€śCECâ€ť) members on Friday, December 12th,calling for the ouster of the entire Board of Trustees at CEC and asking that new elections be held within 45 days.
Three Pushmataha County girls competed in a gymnastics meet December 6 at Big C.A.T.S. Gymnastics & Tumbling in Atoka.
This competition required the girls to memorize and perform routines on the bar, balance beam, floor and vault. Ninety-six gymnasts from Big C.A.T.S., Kippers Gymnastic Club in Ardmore and Ovations Studio in Sapulpa competed.
Three nurses and a security guard are recovering after an alleged knife attack in the emergency room of Deaconess Hospital.
According to police, Keith Bain, of Valliant, walked in the ER complaining of chest pains and he allegedly started to violently assault four workers, which included stabbed a security guard in the neck.

According to the location, all of the concrete had became cracked and corroded so it is now being replaced. So no more potholes at Sonic! Also, while the concrete is up, lines are being laid so digital menu housings can be installed.
This weekend, for the convenience of their customers, they hope to have all the stalls back open to better serve residents.
In spite of frigid weather, the stands were filled with Bearcat fans who traveled to Stroud to watch their Bearcats, Friday, November 14, in their first playoff game in ten years. The Stroud Tigers were a tough match with a 9-1 record, while the Bearcats was coming off their first winning season since 2004. All knew that it was not going to be easy for the Bearcats, but the guys were determined to show their grit - and, they did.
The Choctaw Electric Cooperative recently contacted Mark Matloff, District Attorney for Choctaw, McCurtain, and Pushmataha Counties, concerning the information from its ongoing investigation into mismanagement and wrong doings within the cooperative.Â
According to CEC, they were directed to contact the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and deliver their information to them.Â They have subsequently met with an agent of the OSBI and provided the agent with the entirety of their information to date.Â
The Oklahoma State Fire Marshal and the Pushmataha County Sheriff's Department are investigating a deadly house fire that took place over Tuesday night in Pushmataha County.
The state fire marshal was on the scene Wednesday.
Authorities say a man and women died in the fire, at a home east of Antlers on HWY 3.
After a preliminary investigation, authorities are working on the theory the fire was accidental.
The victims' bodies have been sent to the medical examiners' office for identification.
