With deer season upon us, and many hunters roaming around in the woods, it is no wonder that the Game Wardens of Pushmataha County have been rather busy this past week. Pushmataha County is a popular area for not only residents of the area but for others as well.
This past week, October 27 through October 30, Game Wardens got several individuals for hunting with motor vehicles, head lighting, transporting loaded firearms, hunting without valid licensing, hunting without valid deer tags and hunting with aid of a motorized conveyance.
The Governor’s Burn Ban, which was still in effect for 14 Oklahoma counties was lifted, effective Tuesday, November 1 at 1:00 p.m. Waiting until Tuesday allows county commissioners time to assess local conditions and meet to consider the needs of implementing a burn ban in their county.
Oklahomans are encouraged to remain cautious with campfires, debris burning, outdoor cooking, welding and other activities that include an open flame.
