On Wednesday, June 20, 2012 supporters, volunteers and local officials gathered together at the Antlers Public Library to help Director Patti Lehman celebrate receiving a very large check, in size and amount, from State Farm®.
The Antlers Farmer's Market is once again open and ready for business. The Farmer’s Market is open for operation every Wednesday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until Noon. It is located across the street from The Convenience Center in Antlers.
Until the end of August, they are running a special to encourage farmers and gardeners to come out and sell their produce for profit.
“If you over planted, your plants produced more then you expected or you just want to make some extra cash, why not sell at the Farmer’s Market?,” said Shawn Long with PDI.
The Oklahoma Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (ODMHSAS) announced today the results of its annual inspection of tobacco outlets to measure compliance with laws restricting underage tobacco sales. This year’s compliance rate of 6.8 percent is the lowest ever for the state.
On June 2nd, 2012, the Rattan Fire Department won the Choctaw County Fire Fighters Challenge in Hugo. This is their fourth consecutive win.
