Authorities are looking for a suspect after a late-night shooting in Choctaw County left two men dead. Officials say the shooting happened late Saturday night at an apartment complex in Hugo.
According to the OSBI, Hugo police received a call around 11 p.m. on Saturday to 541 Southwind Acres Apartments off South 15th Street. Upon arrival, they found two men had been shot multiple times. Both victims were pronounced dead.
Pushmataha county and much of southeastern Oklahoma and northeast Texas are under severe thunderstorm and dangerous heat advisories for today and into tonight.
A frontal boundary extending form the Oklahoma panhandle into northeast Texas will move north as a warm front today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms will develop in the vicinity of the front, especially this afternoon. However, the greatest storm coverage will be in northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas where the upper level support is the greatest.
We can expect more showers and possibly a thunderstorm this evening headed into tonight. Experts are expecting chances to dwindle off after 1 a.m.
Our area will remain under a flash flood watch until 7:00 p.m. with some areas expected to see up to 3 inches of rain. However, most will only see around an inch.
The City of Antlers will be shutting down the city's water supply on Wednesday, July 24th, beginning at 10:00 p.m. for line repair. They anticipate the water supply being restored before 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 25th.
Officers of the Antlers Police Department were assaulted when conducting a welfare check over the weekend at the Sportsmans Inn in Antlers.
Officer Stewart Stanfield, with the assistance of Pushmataha County Sheriff Deputy Russell Bailey, was dispatched to the Sportsmans Inn to check on the welfare of Douglas Flatt. When they arrived and opened the door to the room Flatt was residing in, a white make was hiding behind the door.
Kevin Miller, 42 year old male of Antlers, was shot and killed in northeast Oklahoma City late Saturday night.
Police report that around 11:30 p.m., several people traded gunfire in the parking lot of The Oak Room, a bar located at N.E. 50th Street and Lincoln in OKC. Miller was struck by gunfire and died at a nearby hospital.
Three other men were also shot and wounded. Also wounded in the shooting were Aaron Brown, 22, Joe Brown, 41, and Michael Hogue, 33; all of Oklahoma City. Their conditions are not known.

The annual 4th of July Picnic was a success. Over 100 people attended. It was quite a pleasant gathering. The weather was definitely co-operating. The good was good. Our chef, Meryl Redman, did a superb job as usual. I say, âas usual,â because Meryl has cooked for all of our July 4th picnics. A special thanks to the ladies on the serving line. Larry Joslin and I were the speakers. Even Jim Calhoun got in a few words. If you missed it, donât miss it next year.
Pushmataha County residents littered the sides of the roadway, parking lots and side streets last night as they came out to Moyers to enjoy their annual fireworks display.
Residents were pleasantly surprised but the magnitude and beauty of this yearâs display.
âI have been coming to this show for years and this is the best one I have seen since I moved here,â one resident said.
Another stated, âSimply beautiful! And them playing the Star Spangled Banner during the grand finale was the icing on the cake!â
Over the weekend the Antlers Police Department responded to a call about a woman who had shoplifted beer for Jim Rayâs Quick Stop in Antlers.
Upon officer arrival, Officer Stewart Stanfield made contact with a blond female who was sitting in the front passenger seat of a vehicle. Officer Stanfield also noticed eight cans of Keystone in the back seat that were well in reach of the female.
The female identified herself as Tosha Dillishaw, who is also known as Tosha McPherson, a 28 year old white female of Antlers.
