A Pushmataha County woman has been arrested on seven counts of child neglect according to a press release that the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation released on Friday.
According to the OSBI, agents were called in to help the Pushmataha County Sheriff's Office investigate allegations of child neglect in July. During the investigation, agents discovered 34-year-old Sonia Kubisak was living in tents with her seven children ranging in age from 7 to 17 years.
OSBI says the neglect was discovered when the children were assessed by a local nurse practitioner.
The Atoka County Sheriff's office unwrapped a trunk full of Christmas presents last week and found over $100,000 worth of marijuana.
A Sheriff's deputy says he spotted a car driving on the shoulder of the road and pulled it over. He found two women, two children and a trunk full of Christmas presents.
The adults in the car were Stephanie Renee Roboedo and Blanca Moya.
When the arresting officer suspected something wasn't right, he called over his trusted K-9, Morgan, who located the marijuana in the back of the car - disguised as Christmas presents.
