Jack Clay was born on August 3, 1922 in Durant to Arthur and Nora Clay. He passed from this life September 21, 2011 in Talihina at the age of 89. Jack came to Sobol around the age of 14 to work as a ranch hand where he met and fell in love with Ann Noel. He and Ann were married for 58 years until her passing. In 1942, he was drafted into the United States Army and served during World War II in the European Theater. He fought with the 10th Armored Division as a Tech 4 at the Battle of the Bulge.
Jessie Harold Taylor was born April 25, 1958 in Sobol to Wilson and Deloris (Billy) Taylor. He passed from this life September 23, 2011 in Hugo at the age of 53. Jessie Taylor married Angela Luper in Goodwater on February 3, 2006. The most important people in his life were his wife, girls, and his large family that he loved spending time with. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a shade tree mechanic, carpenter, and all around handy man.
Nola Versie Jackson was born April 16, 1918 in Glenwood, AR., to Jasper D. and Lou Ada Jane (Adams) Adcock. She passed from this life September 24, 2011 in Paris, TX, at the age of 93. Nola Versie Adcock married George Benjamin Jackson in Hugo on May 27, 1939 and together they raised three boys. She lived in this area all of her life and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Rattan. She enjoyed quilting, singing, cooking, and loved playing with her grandkids and great grandkids.
