May 25th
Michael “Mike” Don Wilson was born January 17, 1943, in Hugo to Harmon “Bill” Wilson and June (Brackeen) Wilson. Mike, resident of Antlers, passed from this life on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the age of 68, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Antlers High School in 1961 after attending school in Los Alamos, NM and Prineville, OR. Mike married Nancy Cooper in 1963 and worked as a teller and later a Vice-President at the First National Bank in Antlers. He also worked at the Sequoyah State Bank in Muldrow as Vice-President and Los Alamos Credit Union.
Betty Ann Brown was born May 15, 1949 in Roswell, NM, to Chester Cecil and Margaret (Owens) Standridge. She passed from this life on Monday, May 16, 2011 in Broken Bow at the age of 62. Betty married Charles Lester Brown on December 31, 1965 in Battiest at the Battiest Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and very dedicated to her Lord and family. Betty was a member of the One Creek Valley Church in Finley. It was there that she was very active in the children’s church ministry and would cook for them on Wednesday nights before church.
Mamie Hardin was born on January 8, 2011 in Rattan to George Albery and Ada (Potts) Hearn. She passed from this life on Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Lee’s Summit, MO., at the age of 93. Mamie lived in Rattan before moving to Lee’s Summit, MO. She was preceded in death yby her parents. Mamie is survived by one daughter, Paula Hughes of Independence, MO; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at the Ft. Towson Cemetery at a later date.

Christine Adele Haag was born May 4, 1913 in Cleveland, OH.; to Harry C. Green and Lula M. (Paddock) Greene. She passed from this life May 13, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 98. Christine married Willard Russell Haag November 4, 1940 in Lakewood, OH.; after two weeks of courtship and together they raised one daughter. They moved to this area to be near their family. Christine loved music and playing the piano. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Christine was preceded in death by her parents:Â Harry & Lula Greene.
Noah Wyatt Clark-Potter went to be with the Lord on May 10, 2011 in Talihina. He was born to Ronald Robert Potter V and Gabriellea Meshelle Clark.
May 12th
Donnie Joe Talley was born on April 11, 1989 in Antlers to Don and Barbara (Watts) Talley. He passed from this life on May 8, 2011 in Perry at the age of 22. He graduated in 2007 from Perry High School and was attending Spartan College in Tulsa. Donnie was a ranch hand. He enjoyed horseback riding, rodeos, hunting and fishing. Donnie was preceded in death by his grandfather Hack Watts and friend Cole Buchanan. He is survived by his parents Don F.
Jessy Lee Eugene Ervin was born February 26, 1928 in McAlester to James Lee Roy and Sarah Ellen (Branch) Ervin. He passed from this life May 6, 2011 in Calera at the age of 83. Eugene served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He married Ruby Christine Burnett December 24, 1948 in Yuba and together they raised four children. They moved back to this area in 1963 from west Texas. Eugene loved fishing and spending time with his family and friends.

Roger Mills Neese, 77, of Sayre passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 in Antlers. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Oddfellows Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mills & Coffey Funeral Home of Antlers.
Janice Kay Bell, 68, of Clayton passed away Thursday, April 28, 2011 at her residence. Memorial services were held at the Clayton Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 pm on Monday, May 2, 2011 with Mike Smith officiating. Interment followed at Clayton Old Town Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Clayton Funeral Home of Clayton.
Beverly Jean Worley, 78, of Des Moines, IA passed from this life on Monday, April 25, 2011 in Antlers. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at the Mills & Coffey Chapel in Antlers. Interment followed at Broken Bow City Cemetery in Broken Bow. Arrangements entrusted to Mills& Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers.
