Lavonne Novelle (Miller) Goforth Henderson Robinson was born March 2, 1939 in Sawyer to Harry “Boyd” Miller and Marie Novelle (Minchew) Miller. She passed from this life on January 26, 2012 in McAlester at the age of 72. Lavonne was a Medical Technologist and was the director of the Choctaw Memorial Hospital Lab for many years. She was a member of the JC Janes in the 60’s & 70’s, a Girl Scout leader, member of the VFW Auxiliary, and member of the Sawyer Rural Water Board. She liked to crochet, cross stitch, quilt and loved her horses.
Jewell Geneva Haddox was born October 15, 1922 in Miller to Wade and Villie (Janway) Hedrick. She passed from this life on January 26, 2012 in Hugo at the age of 89. Jewell was raised in Pushmataha County where she attended school at Hall community. Later she met and married her husband of 45 years, Joe Haddox, in June of 1942 in Antlers. After spending a couple of years in California they returned to Pushmataha County for a short time before moving to Oklahoma City for 18 years.
Thelma “Nanny Moose” Henard was born on May 1, 1938 in Antlers to Lee & Lillie (Kirk) Martin. She passed from this life January 24, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 73. Thelma married Ron Henard on February 25, 1983. They had remained married for 28 years. During their marriage, they shared their life in Branson, MO; Oklahoma City, and spent the last two years in Antlers. Thelma was of the Assembly of God faith. Her most precious times were spent with her family and friends. Thelma enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were the light of her life.

Bertha Mae Wren was born May 2, 1926 in Daisy to Millard “Froggy” & Ethel (Morris) Morrison. She passed from this life January 23, 2012 in Scurry, TX at the age of 85. Bertha Mae married Roy Otis Wren in Paris, TX in 1946. She had many friends and loved ones in the Finley community, in which she was raised. Bertha Mae was preceded in death by her parents: Froggy & Ethel Morrison; husband: Roy Otis Wren; daughter: Judy L. Wren; a grandson: Jason G. Wren; and her siblings: Raymond R.
Dovie Mae Cash was born August 6, 1912 in Dela to James Albert and Belle (Potts) Robertson. She passed from this life January 19, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 99. Dovie married William Kermit Cash on December 24, 1928 in Antlers. She was a homemaker and lived in this area most of her life. She enjoyed cooking, dancing and she loved to waltz.
Richard David Williams, Jr. was born November 16, 1964 in Antlers to Richard and Corrine (Sutterfield) Williams. He passed from this life January 22, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 47. David had spent his entire life in Antlers, working as a self-employed logger. He was a beloved son, father, brother, and husband. David was an avid hunter and also loved camping and fishing. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. David is preceded in death by his father: Richard David Williams, Sr.

Dora Marie Self was born September 26, 1921 in Cloudy to Claude and Clara (Harper) Goheen. She passed from this life January 13, 2012 in Baytown, TX, at the age of 90. Dora married John C. Self September 25, 1947 in Paris, TX. She loved tending to her cows, gardening and spending time with grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dora was preceded in death by her parents: Claude & Clara Goheen; husband: John C. Self; grandson: Paul Self; brothers: Lewis Goheen and Bud Goheen; sisters: Mildred Goheen and Faye Thurman.
Danny Olen Green, 62, of Antlers, passed from this life on Sunday, January 15, 2012 in Paris, TX. There are no funeral services scheduled at this time.
Rosalyn Thomas was born June 26, 1936 in Sheep Spring, MN., to Peter and Violet (Yazzie) Begay. She passed from this life January 13, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 75. Rosalyn married W.W. Thomas February 17, 1964 in Los Angeles, CA. She worked as a seamstress in many different areas. Rosalyn was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Antlers. She enjoyed spending time visiting her family and friends. Rosalyn was preceded in death by her parents: Peter & Violet Begay; & a son: Daryl Thomas. She is survived by her husband of 47 years: W.W.
Zada Lee Benham was born February 27, 1915 in Farris to Harve and Minnie (Terry) Dillingham. She passed from this life January 12, 2012 in Colbert at the age of 96. Zada enjoyed gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends. Zada was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Doyle Benham; siblings: Jewell Walker, Clarence Dillingham, Bob Dillingham, M.E. Dillingham, and Hazel Starnes.
