L.J. âSnooksâ Davis was born June 24, 1914 in Achille to John and Texanna (Peoples) Davis. He passed from this life May 28, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 96. Leonard married Christine McKintubee 74 years ago on September 26, 1936 in Holdenville. They lived in California and Texas then in 1951 they moved to Miller and lived there for 46 years. Snooks was a blade operator for 20 years. He took a lot of pride in his work and enjoyed doing it. Leonard was 69 when he finally retired.
Lucy Bell LeClair was born November 6, 1928 in North Liberty, IA to Charles Warren and Alice Tobitha (Jett) Bascom. She passed from this life May 28, 2011 in Tulsa at the age of 82. Lucy married Everrett Derby in 1948 in Illinois, and he passed away in 1966. She then married Alex LeClair in 1993 in Clayton. He passed from this life in 2002. Lucy was a member of the Jehovahâs witnesses for the majority of her life. She enjoyed cooking, completing puzzles, playing board games with her grandkids and quilting. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.
Wiley Eugene âDubâ Napier Jr. was born on June 25, 1921 in the Miller Community to Wyly E. and Joyce (Anderson) Napier. He passed from this life on Friday, May 29, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 89. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII after high school from 1942-1945. Dub attended the technical college in Okmulgee after his military service and earned his mechanic certificates. He was a really good mechanic. Dub worked in McAlester before moving back to Antlers, where he worked 10 years with the Roy Jackson dealership. Wiley married Betty Jean Byard on October 16, 1981 in Atoka.
Ruby Viola Thurston was born November 2, 1914 in Checota, TX. to James Benjamin Franklin and Linnie Ann (Acres) Earnest. She passed from this life May 28, 2011 in Idabel at the age of 96. Ruby married Claud H. Thurston February 13, 1935 in Antlers. She was a lifelong member of the community. Ruby was of the Baptist faith and ejoyed spending time with her family and friends. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband: Claud H.
Leo Daniel Lynn, Sr., 76, of Darwin, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 in Durant. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arragements entrusted to Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers.
Cynthia Chambers, 49, of Clayton, passed from this life on Monday, May 16, 2011 at her residence. Memorial services were held on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Mr. George Robinson's residence in Tuskahoma.

Albert Elton Randall was born October 19, 1930 in Mt. Pleasant, TX., to Albert Grover and Jimmie (Moss) Randall. He passed from this life May 17, 2011 in Antlers at the age of 80. Albert married Lois Irene Robertson in Hugo on July 5, 1996. He was of the Baptist faith, and he enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Albert was preceded in death by his first wife: Betty Lou Randall; grandson: Charles Michael Groves, his parents: Albert & Jimmy Randall; one brother and one sister.
Michael âMikeâ Don Wilson was born January 17, 1943, in Hugo to Harmon âBillâ Wilson and June (Brackeen) Wilson. Mike, resident of Antlers, passed from this life on Monday, May 23, 2011 at the age of 68, at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Antlers High School in 1961 after attending school in Los Alamos, NM and Prineville, OR. Mike married Nancy Cooper in 1963 and worked as a teller and later a Vice-President at the First National Bank in Antlers. He also worked at the Sequoyah State Bank in Muldrow as Vice-President and Los Alamos Credit Union.
Betty Ann Brown was born May 15, 1949 in Roswell, NM, to Chester Cecil and Margaret (Owens) Standridge. She passed from this life on Monday, May 16, 2011 in Broken Bow at the age of 62. Betty married Charles Lester Brown on December 31, 1965 in Battiest at the Battiest Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and very dedicated to her Lord and family. Betty was a member of the One Creek Valley Church in Finley. It was there that she was very active in the childrenâs church ministry and would cook for them on Wednesday nights before church.
Mamie Hardin was born on January 8, 2011 in Rattan to George Albery and Ada (Potts) Hearn. She passed from this life on Sunday, May 22, 2011 in Leeâs Summit, MO., at the age of 93. Mamie lived in Rattan before moving to Leeâs Summit, MO. She was preceded in death yby her parents. Mamie is survived by one daughter, Paula Hughes of Independence, MO; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Private services will be held at the Ft. Towson Cemetery at a later date.
