Carolyn Thomas, of Antlers, was recently inducted into the LRCA (Louisiana Rodeo Cowboys Association) Hall of Fame. Thomas made the LRCA Finals every year from 1969 - 1989 and was named the average winner at the finals twice. She was also the barrel racing director for two terms.

The Moyers Tigers took on Eagletown last Tuesday night at home. First up would be the Lady Tigers. Kalli Winters would score the first points on a great pass from Shelby Geary. The Lady Eagles were quick to retaliate and quickly jumped out on the Ladies 9-4. At half the Ladies found themselves down 31-8. The 3rd qtr was kinder to the Lady Tigers and their rebounding improved with Shelby Geary hitting the boards hard for the team.Â

The Moyers Tigers opened a much anticipated Basketball Season on Tuesday, November 1.   After an amazing rendition of the National Anthem sung by Taylor Billy, the Lady Tigers took to the court.
November 3rd
Ty Kellett, age 11, bagged his first 8 point buck opening day of muzzle loading season near Moyers while hunting with his dad. It toppped the scales at 148 pounds.
Brittany Hedgecock of Antlers killed this 6 point 172 pound buck west of Antlers on Byron Hedgecocks land.
