On Thursday, January 13th, the Moyers Lady Tigers went claw to talon against the Eagletown Lady Eagles in a brutal games on the Tigers home court.Â First to get their hands on the ball were the Moyers Lady Tigers.Â The girls were slow to start but gave it their all as they attempted to but the ball through the net.Â Â With a few good breakaway shots by #15- Maddi Clark, #24- Shelby Clark, #23-Shelby Geary and #22 Kalli Winters, the Lady Tigers were able to keep the score within 10 going into half-time.Â At the half the Lady Eagles were still clutching onto the lead with a score of 20-10.
In a home game againstÂ the Eagletown Eagles on Thursday, January 13th, the Moyers Tigers were ready to show everyone what they were made of, especially the Eagles who they had lost to earlier in the season.Â The Tigers jumped out to an early lead but it didnâ€™t last long as the Eagles quickly came back. #21- Brandon Slocum and #24- Jake Mattingly were on the court and playing some ball!Â With #22- Terrell Morgan sinking a 3 pointer at the buzzer the Tigers ended the end the first half with a score of 27 to 12.
The Antlers Bearcats and Lady Cats celebrated their Basketball Homecoming on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Bearcat Gym.Â The Bearcats took the court against the Tigers with something to prove. After the whistle signifying the start of the game the Bearcats drew first blood.Â From right of the bat this was a very physical, fast paced and aggressive game.Â The Tigers learned very quickly that #33- Bryce Martin couldnâ€™t be left uncovered because of his 3-point shooting abilities.Â At half-time the score was Bearcats 24, Tigers 17.
The Antlers Bearcats and Lady Cats celebrated their Basketball Homecoming on Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Bearcat Gym.Â The 2010-2011 Antlers Basketball Homecoming King and Queen were named as # 22 for the Bearcats- Kayl Bryant and #13 for the Lady Cats - Jade Oâ€™Donnell. Â
The Rattan Lady Rams competed in a MC-6 Tournament and brought home the John Rind MC-6 Tournament Girls Championship for the first time.Â Â Lady Rams Lyndi Noelâ€™s field goal in the last seconds of the game proved to be exactly what the Lady Rams needed to beat out the Valiant Lady Dawgs with a 34-32 win.
Coach Gibbs said that Login and Lyndi Noel both turned in a good game and despite a low shooting percentage for the Lady Rams in the first half, Lindsay Winship and Hayley Deaton provided just enough offense to keen the top seed close to last yearâ€™s tourney champion.
