May 25th
Last week on Wednesday, May 18, 2011, three of the Senior Baseball players for the Antlers Bearcats participated in the Southeast Oklahoma Baseball Coaches Association (SEOBCA) All-Star game in Silo. Kayl Bryant and Clay Rogers both participated in the All-Star game while Tyler Speer took part in the Home Run Derby that was held before the game began.
May 18th
On May 9th & 10th, 2011, Treg Buchanan, a Senior at Antlers High School, participated at the OSSAA State Golf Tournament which was held at the Cimeron Trails Golf Course in Perkin. It was a 54 hole tournament which lasted for two days.
Treg shot a 76 and a 73 on opening day and got a 83 on the second day of the Tournament. When all the scores were tallied, Treg finished tied for 7th place out of a total of 73 high school golfers in Class 3A.
Tyler Spear, a Senior at Antlers High School, has been selected by area coaches to play on the South team in the 38th Annual All Star Classic Baseball Tournament.
The game will be played May 28th at 2:00 p.m. in Wilburton. Tyler is the son of Kenny & Ronda Spear, grandson of Betty and the late "Skeet" Gregg of Antlers, Billy and Linda Burton of Hugo, and Dale Coffman of Garvin.

The Rattan Rams also headed to the State Tournament for Class A Baseball in Oklahoma City on Thursday, May 5, 2011. Previous to State they had won their Regional Tournament on their home field by beating out three other teams.
On Tuesday, May 3, 2011 the Rattan High School Lady Rams Softball Team headed for the Class 3A State Tournament in Oklahoma City.
Not only did they win the Regional Tournament the week before but there were recognized not only for their athletic abilities but also for their academic success as well. At the State Tournament they were presented the Academic Achievement Award for having the highest GPA (grade point average) in Class 3A play. The team had an overall GPA of 3.888 for the year.

The Rattan High School Girls Softball Team is headed to the Class 3A State Tournament in Oklahoma City this Tuesday, May 3, 2011 after winning their Regional Tournament last Thursday. They will be recognized not only for their athletic ability but also for their academic success as well.  They will be presented the Academic Achievement Award for having the highest GPA in Class 3A. The team has earned an overall GPA of 3.888 this year. The Lady Rams have shown how important it is to maintain success both on and off the field.Â
The Rattan Rams are headed to the Class A State Baseball Tournament in Oklahoma City on Thursday, May 5.  They won their Regional Tournament at Rattan this past Thursday and Friday beating out three other teams.  Congratulations!
Four members of the Antlers High School Bearcat Baseball team hit homerums during their District Game against the Hartshorne Miners on April 28, 2011. The Bearcats ended up winning this game with a final score of 15 to 6. They then went on win another game against the Miners which clinced their spot in the Regional Tournament! Way to go Bearcats!
The four boys who hit homeruns were: Arizona Taylor, sophomore; Tyler Spear, senior; Kayl Bryant, senior; and Bryce Martin, sophomore. Needless to say the fans attending the game were more than excited as they cheered their team to victory.
