Old friends drop by for golf

June 8, 2011

We had some old friends drop by the golf course last Friday. Bob Homerding, his daughter Jan Pyle, son Tom and granddaughter Matty came out and played a round. It’s been a while since I had seem them and it was quite a surprise. Bob moved to Las Vegas a few years ago. Jan lives in Georgetown, TX., and when Bob comes to visit they always make it up to see me. I appreciate that. It would be nice if everyone’s customers were as loyal as the Homerding family.

Anglers participate in husband-wife bass tournament

Anglers fished from 7:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with clear skies and temperatures reaching into the mid 90’s. The bright, hot conditions may have contributed to the "slow bite" that most of the contestants experienced during the tournament. However, one team did manage to put together a nice stringer.
