On Friday night, August 26, 2011 the lights were once again shinning bright at the Antlers Bearcat Stadium as they took on the Haileyville Warriors in a scrimmage game.
For the first portion of the scrimmage the teams alternated possession of the ball in 5/5 sets. Meaning that a teams offense would have possession of the ball for 5 plays and then would move to defense for 5 plays. The Bearcats showed aggression, determination and passion as they went head to head against the Warriors, not to mention some new tricks.
Once again, anglers from the Pushmataha County Sportsman Club had to contend with temperatures above one hundred degrees during their bass tournament held on McGee Creek Lake. The tournament took place on August 27. Despite the hot weather and the slot length limit on the lake that requires bass from sixteen to twenty-two inches to be released, a few anglers were able to put together a nice stringer.
