On Saturday, August 25, members of the Pushmataha County Sportsman Club competed in a team bass tournament on Sardis Lake. Contestants fished under cloudy skies with light rain and moderate temperatures for most of the day, which was much more enjoyable than the one hundred plus degree temperatures of the last several bass tournaments.
On Friday, August 24, 2012 the Antlers Bearcats faced off in a home scrimmage against the Haileyville Warriors. The Bearcats did a great job maintaining control of the game and scored 2 touchdowns against Haileyville. The Bearcats defense shutout the Warriors and held them to a scoreless game. The Bearcats were fired up and it was obvious to the fans that they were having a blast playing the game they all love. The Bearcats will play in their season opener Friday, August 31, 2012 in a home game against the Valliant Bulldogs.
