There were recently 20 participents at the 1st Annual Moyers Baptist Church Turkey Shoot at the Hugo Lake Shoothing Range. The winners were for small caliber, Randall Miller, for sporting clas, Johnny A. Cole and for large caliber, Joe Standridge.
The Moyers Tigers took on Eagletown last Tuesday night at home.Â First up would be the Lady Tigers.Â Kalli Winters would score the first points on a great pass from Shelby Geary.Â The Lady Eagles were quick to retaliate and quickly jumped out on the Ladies 9-4.Â At half the Ladies found themselves down 31-8.Â The 3rd qtr was kinder to the Lady Tigers and their rebounding improved with Shelby Geary hitting the boards hard for the team.Â
On Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. the Antlers Fire Department and the Kiamichi Economic Development District of Oklahoma (KEDDO) a nd the Oklahoma Forestry came together at the Antlers City Hall and developed a Community Wildlife Protection Plan.

The Postmaster of the Antlers Post Office has informed us that on Thursday, November 3, 2011 the Postal Inspection Agency discovered a total of 5 mailboxes that had been blown up in the Antlers' area. Two of the mailboxes were located on North Hall Road and the other three were on Airport Road. Two of the mailboxes had mail in them at the time of the explosion leaving burnt reminisces of the residentâ€™s mail.
The Moyers Tigers opened a much anticipated Basketball Season on Tuesday, November 1.Â Â Â After an amazing rendition of the National Anthem sung by Taylor Billy, the Lady Tigers took to the court.
On Monday, November 7, 2011 the City of Antlers Council members gathered for their monthly meeting at the Antlers City Hall. The meeting began at 5:00 p.m. by being called to order, a quorum was established and invocation was given.
The City of Antlers has received a Hazard Mitigation Grant in the amount of $23,775.00 from the Oklahoma Department of Emergancy Management for the purchase of 4 storm sirens. This will make a total of 6 sirens that Antlers will have to warn the public inside the City Limits of an approaching Tornado or other Severe Weather.
The total cost of the siren upgrade was 31,7000. Public Service of Oklahoma (PSO) donated the labor and equipment for the installation of the sirens.
