Tea Party

February 23, 2012

By Butch Morris

I have to set the record straight. Due to a misplaced period, a comma and a capital letter in last week’s article, a point I was making was misstated.

What should have been written was, “Conservatives think along the same lines 90 plus percent of the time.”

Tea Partyers believe in the constitution 100 percent of the time. Make no mistake about that.

Proof positive once again that words are powerful and statements need to be made clearly. Punctuation counts.

By Tom Smith, OSU Extension Service Educator, Agriculture/4-H Youth Development, CED

With the beautiful weather we have had the past few weeks, our thoughts have turned to blooming flowers and fresh vegetables. · Base any plant fertilization on a soil test. For directions, contact your county Extension Educator.
· Provide feed and unfrozen water for your feathered friends.

There are some things, however, that do take time in order to be successful said Janice Hermann, Oklahoma State University Cooperative Extension nutrition specialist.

What is a Tea Partyer?

February 16, 2012

By Butch Morris

Ever wonder why the powers that be don’t like the Tea Party? There’s probably several reasons but the main one is that Tea Partyers are average people that look at the facts and are not controlled by a large organization.

Tea Party groups are autonomous. That means that each group tends to it’s own business without regard to national party. This doesn’t mean that we won’t help out another Tea Party group, we do on occasion.

There are many thing happening at Antlers Public Schools. As we approach the midway point of second semester, many parents will be or have received progress reports for their child. Please take the time to go over these reports with your child and discuss any details with them.

We encourage our parents to talk with your child about their grades, attendance, school functions and whatever they want to discuss.
