Ladycats fight to the finish

Lady Cats traveled to Wilburton last Friday night for the season opener. The Lady Cats came out with a bang and thanks to 3 for 3 on three point shots by Senior Chelsi Thomas, at the end of the first quarter, the score was tied at 14-14. Both teams came to play and at the half, the Lady Diggers were up 26-23.

Antlers Cheerleader marches in Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade

Marlee Williams, a Sr. at Antlers High School and daughter of David and Dorothy Williams, represented the cheerleading squad in the 2012 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City this year.

Marlee is co-captain of the Antlers High School Cheerleading Squad. Marlee was nominated to, and made, the All-American squad at Cheer Camp this past summer. Members of the All-American squad are eligible to be in the parade. There were over 700 girls representing cheerleading squads form all across the nation.

13 year old bags 8 pt buck

Spirit Parade to celebrate 3rd Grade Bearcats moving on to the Super Bowl

Following a win two weeks ago against Stigler that sent them to the playoffs, the 3rd Grade Antlers Bearcats squared off against the Wewoka Tigers last Saturday evening in Wewoka. The Bearcats received an outpouring of support from cheerleaders, parents, and fans who had traveled the 100 miles to see them play.

The Bearcats had previously played the Tigers early in the regular season, suffering a loss. But time has a way of changing things. After working hard and honing their skills all season long, the Bearcats returned, ready for a rematch….ready to win.

Youth harvests first deer

Mark Taylor, 10 yrs old from Moyers, killed his first 6 point deer on his first youth hunt with his Papal Stanley Clark in the county line area. His buck was 93 pounds. Proud parents are Nikki Merker and Keith Taylor.

Antlers Little League Bearcats Triumph over Hugo Buffaloes

It was a great day to be a Bearcat.

Following an inspiring pep rally Thursday afternoon at Antlers Elementary, the Antlers Little League Bearcats found themselves pumped up and ready for Saturday morning football. They faced off against the Hugo Buffaloes at Antlers field in a scrimmage against their long time rivals. The 3rd & 4th Grade and 5th & 6th grade teams respectively paired up to battle their opposing teams. It was an event that did not disappoint fans.

Bearcats fall to Diggers

The Antlers Bearcats traveled to Wilburton to face the Diggers last Friday night. Although the Bearcats played hard through all four quarters, they fell to the Diggers in the end. The final score was Wilburton 40 - Antlers 18.

Lady Rams return to State Championship

The Rattan Lady Rams have advanced to the State Tournament once again. Rattan Public School will be out of classes on Thursday to make it possible for students and teachers to go support their team.

The Lady Rams will take the field at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in OKC against Amber-Pocasset on field 3 at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2012.

Rams head to State

The Rattan Rams have advanced to the State Tournament. Rattan Public School will be out of classes on Thursday to make it possible for students and teachers to go support their team.

The Rams will take the field at Edmond Santa Fe at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2012, against Latta.

Lady Cats win big at District

The Lady Cats have done it again! They were named District Champs on Tuesday (9/18) at Atoka. They accomplished this spectacular goal by shutting out Atoka in their first game (18 - 0) and by destroying Atoka in the second game 17 - 4.
