The Pushmataha County 4-H held its annual Speech and Demonstrations contest on Wednesday, March 14th at the United Methodist Church in Antlers. Seventy one 4-Her’s participated in the contest. New county officers were also voted in.
The new officers are: Kat Bailey, Song Leader, Trey Greer, Game Leader, Tyanna Thurman, Recreational Leader, Will Lewis, Reporter, Tiffany Noel, Treasurer, Lindsay Hedrick, Secretary, Colby Watts, Co Vice-President, Dillon Hembree, Co Vice-President and Brandon Alford, President.
The results of the contest are as follows: Individual Food Presentations: Ages 9 & 10: Grand Champion Skyelar Cogburn, Reserve Champion Sidney Boone. Ages 11-13: Grand Champion Emily Matcham, Reserve Champion Matthew Soto. Ages 14 and older: Grand Champion James Bailey.
Team Food Presentations: Ages 9 and 10: Grand Champion Marlie Leathers and Madison Watts, Reserve Champion Grace O’Neal and Hannah Maxwell. Ages 11-13 ( Snack Foods and Appetizers): Grand Champion Cheyenne Turner and Bethany Matcham, Reserve Champion – Shae Teafatiller and Alexis Gomez. Ages 11-13 ( Desserts): Grand Champion Sydnee Wood and Hali Bray, Reserve Champion Allie Robins and Kylee Simpson. Ages 14 and older Sr. Division: Grand Champion Taleia Casey and Amber James, Reserve Champion Harley White and Karissa Callahan.
Individual Illustrated Presentations: Ages 9 and 10: Grand Champion Kimberly Alford. Ages 11-13: Grand Champion Shorie Reagan, Reserve Champion Logan Huett.
Team Illustrated Presentations: Ages 9 and 10: Grand Champion Tyler Lewis and Briar Teague, Reserve Champion Dayton Holland and Makyla Thompson. Ages 11-13: Grand Champion Ashlen Mize and Jayd Duncan, Reserve Champion Kaleigh Watson and Lauren Gibson.
