The City of Antlers would like to announce that opening day for the Antlers City Pool will be Friday, June 1st. The pool will be open 6 days a week, Monday-Saturday, and hours of operation will be 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Lifeguards will be on duty at all times. Each lifeguard is Red Cross Certified in life-saving and CPR.

Admission will be $3.00 per person per day. Please note: All infants and children in diapers must wear Little Swimmer’s Diapers. No Exceptions!

The Pool may be rented for pool parties Monday through Saturday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm or from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The time slot from 6:00 to 8:00 must be filled before the later slot can be reserved. Cost will be $110 for parties of 25 swimmers or less, $160 for parties of more than 25. NOTE: Pool parties must be paid in full at Antlers City Hall before the pool can be reserved and placed on calendar.

Swimming lessons will be offered two separate weeks this year, the first session will be June 11th through the 15th and the second session will be June 25th through the 30th. Each session will be $30 per student. Each student will be assessed at the beginning of the class and divided into groups according to each swimmer’s ability, knowledge, and swim level.

Classes for the 8 to 12 year old students will start at 8:00 a.m., classes for 6 & 7 year old students will start at 9:00 a.m., and classes for the 4 & 5 year olds will start at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. (you may sign up for whichever one you like but if they are not both filled we will move all of the students to the 10:00 class).

Swimming Lesson Applications may be picked up at Antlers City Hall. Payment must be made before classes begin. We have strict limits on the numbers that each class and life guard will be allowed to work with at a given time. All applications will be first come, first served. There will be a Red Cross Certified Water Safety Instructor on hand for all swimming lessons.

The pool will be closed on Homecoming, June 16th and July 4th. The last day of operation will be Saturday, August 4th. For more information, please call pool manager, Ron Potter at 580-298-6969 or City Hall at 580-298-3756.
