Antlers firefighters graduate FF1 training

The Antlers Fire and EMS graduated another class of firefighters who passed Firefighter 1 on October 18th in the Antlers High School Auditorium. Those graduates include: Brooke Trotter, Mike Taylor, Elmonzo Onstott, Katie Berry, Matt Burch, David Fernandez, Richie Blevins and Will Carter.

Speakers at the graduation included Antlers Fire Chief Randy Janoe, Representative R.C. Pruett and Senator Jerry Ellis.

Some of the topics of study covered in Firefighter 1 are: History and Orientation, Fire Behavior, Building Construction, PPE and SCBA, Firefighter Rehabilitation, Search and Rescue, Firefighter Survival Skills, Ropes and Knots, Hose, Nozzles, and Streams, Water Supply, Fire Suppression and Size Up, HAZMAT Awareness/Operations, ire Communications/Radio Interoperability, Wildland Firefighter I, Standard First Aid and Detection and Suppression Systems.
