Antlers Lady Cats Defeat the Boswell Lady Scorpions in HOME OPENER

Last Tuesday night as the crowd filled the Antlers High School gymnasium the Lady Cats took the home court for the first time of the season. The Lady Cats came prepared to play and at the end of the first quarter the score was Antlers with a small lead at 16 points-Boswell 12, the Lady Scorpions were not going to quit and by the half had closed the lead to 1, as it was 27-26.

After the half both teams continued to play some serious basketball and the score at the end of the third was Antlers with a small lead of 43-38. The fourth quarter began, and the Lady Cat fans came to life, giving them the fuel for the fire as the Lady Cat’s defense stepped it up and allowed the Lady Scorpions to only score 6 points. That brought home a Lady Cat VICTORY, with the final score being Antlers Lady Cats 56-Boswell Lady Scorpions 44!

Senior Megan Brame topped out the scoring, with a total of 17 points, 6 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. Junior Cheyanne Simpson had 14 points, 1 assist, 1 rebound, 1 block, and 2 steals. Junior Kendie Bryant added 11 points, 2 assists, and 2 rebounds. Junior Meagan Wilbourn claimed 8 points, 3 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals. Senior Chelsi Thomas had 4 points, 1 assist, 2 steals, and 3 rebounds. Emma Branton 2 points, 1 rebound, and 1 block. Junior Nadia Gottschalk with an assist and Junior Macy Smith with 1 rebound! Great Job Ladies!!
