On February 8th, 2012 Ronald D. Devin, of Antlers, will enter a plea of guilty to the murder of William Riley Seale, who was found deceased in his residents.
Devin will be found guilty of 2nd Degree Murder and be sentenced with 37 years imprisonment. Devin accepted this deal after law enforcement visited with the victims family and they agreed to the terms and wished to avoid going to trial.
On September 2, 2011 deputies with the Pushmataha County Sheriffâ€™s Department were dispatched to the home of William R. Seale, on Cornelius Road, at around 4:00 p.m. This is where they found the body of Seale, Jr, a 67 year old white male, of Antlers.
According to Special Agent Chris Dill of the OSBI (Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations) Seale had died of multiple gun shot wounds from a 20 gage shotgun. Seale was shot in the chest and abdomen areas.
The reports filed in district court stated that Ronald David Devin, a 48 year old white male from Antlers, entered Sealeâ€™s home with the intent on robbing him and then after entry, during the robbery he shot and killed Seale.
He was later seen in Jim Rayâ€™s Quick Stop with a bag with money in it and what appeared to be blood on the bag. Devin was arrested at around 7:00 p.m. Upon his arrest officers removed a .45 caliber pistol from the waistband of his pants.
Devin admitted to going to Sealeâ€™s residence to kill Seale on Friday night. He also confessed to shooting Seale three times in the chest area with a 20 gauge shotgun that was taken from an acquaintanceâ€™s residence. Devin also admitted to taking several firearms and other items from Sealeâ€™s residence
after killing him.
On September 3rd, OSBI conducted a search of the property where Devin was staying. Located inside an abandoned trailer behind Devinâ€™s motor home were several firearms and fixed blade hunting knives as well as a metal box containing several knives and ammunition. Etched on one knife was TO: RILEY, FROM: JESSIE.
