July 6, 2011

Parkland Hospital, Dallas, TX.

A personal injury collision occurred at approximately 6:52 a.m. on US70 about one mile west of Boswell in Choctaw County resulting the injury of Mica Nickole Griffith of Antlers.

The 19 year-old white female from Antlers was airlifted to Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX., in fair condition with head and trunk internal injuries.

What happened was a 1995 Jeep SUV, driven by Linda Kay Woodbright of Boswell, was headed westbound when the 2007 Chevy 2 door, driven by Griffith, was headed eastbound when she traveled left of center and struck the Jeep head-on.

Woodbright, a 59 year-old white female, was treated for minor trunk and internal injuries at the Medical Center of Southeastern Oklahoma Hospital in Durant and was released. No passengers were in either vehicle.

The condition of the driver was apparently normal and with no adverse weather conditions, the cause of the collision is Griffith going left of center.

This collision was investigated by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Eric Blades #209 of the Choctaw-Pushmataha County Detachment.
