Attempted stabbing ends in arrest

January 21, 2013

The Antlers Police Department Office Wyatt Williams responded to an assault call at Chilango’s Mexican Restaurant in Antlers after Julio Ceasar Castillo Andres, of Hugo, tried to stab a restaurant employee.

According to the police report, on January 12, 2013 at about 1:30 p.m., Andres came in the back door of the restaurant mad and pulled a knife from his waistband. After doing so he went after Jose Rojas and tried to stab him. According to Rojas, he tried to run around the kitchen to get away from Andres , going as far as moving a plate cart between them.

Rojas stated that Andres kept coming after him so he picked up a big spoon to try to protect himself. Rojas went on to tell officers that Andres had threatened to kill him and said that if he didn’t get him today he had better pray because he was going to get him.

Andres had left the restaurant before officers arrived. After Officer Williams had left shift, Officer Buchanan received another call that Andres was back at the restaurant making threats again around 3: 00 p.m. He again left the restaurant before officers arrived.

Later that evening, Pushmataha County Sheriff Deputies arrested Andres for other charges and he was placed in the Pushmataha County Jail.

Andres is being charged with Assault and Battery with a Deadly Weapon and Public Intoxication.
