Bearcats fall to Coalgate

Family members, friends, and fans traveled to Coalgate Tuesday the 11th to watch our Bearcats take on the Wildcats. In the first quarter our Bearcats started off strong with Sr. Bryce Martin shooting 60 from the field with 9 points 4 rebounds and 2 assists in the first half.

Jr. Tanner Brown also had 3 points with 5 steals and 1 assist, but the Wildcats were not going to go out so easily. The Wildcats were able to start making a comeback and closed out the first half with a score of 19-27 Wildcats. In the second half the Wildcats came out even more determined, only giving our Bearcats 11 points, ending the third quarter with a score of 30-45 Coalgate. Sr. Harlan House had 11 points, 4 steals and 1 assist, helping revive our Bearcats slightly.

Unwilling to go down without a fight, our Bearcats were able to come back in the fourth, with Sr. Caleb Smith having 5 points, 3 steals, and 1 assist. Jr. Tanner Brown also had 6 points,1 rebound and 1 assist, but it would not prove to be enough and the Wildcats would end up with the win, ending the game with a score of 50-59 Wildcats.

Bearcats stats for Coalgate: Sr. Bryce Martin 16 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal, 2 assists; Sr. Harlan House 13 points, 3 rebounds, 5 steals, 3 assists; Jr. Tanner Brown 9 points, 2 rebounds, 6 steals, 2 assists; Sr. Caleb Smith 5 points, 2 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 assists; and Sr. Arizona Taylor 3 points, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 assist.
