Drew McKnight takes a rebound

February 1st our Bearcats traveled to Atoka to take on the Atoka Wampuscats, who we had already taken on and beat at home so they were looking for a bit of redemption on their home court. In the beginning it seemed Atoka was up to the challenge ending the first period four points ahead with a score of 11-15 Atoka. Sr. Guard Harlan House was the leader in stats for this game with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3steals and 2 assists in the first half alone.

In the second period our Bearcats were able to step it up with Sr. Forward Bryce Martin scoring 8 points for the half and Sr. Guard Caleb Smith with 5, ending the first half in the lead with a score of 32-35 Antlers. In the second half our Bearcats were able to maintain a small lead over Atoka with Sr. Guard Caleb Smith having his biggest game of the season so far with 11 points, 2 rebounds and 1 steal for the second half, ending the 3rd period with a comfortable 10 point lead 43-53 Antlers.

The fourth period was touch and go with Atoka fighting for a home court win. Sr. Forward Arizona Taylor also having a big night with 6 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal, helping secure a Bearcat win with a final score of 62-68 Antlers!

February 5th was the first of our last three games of the regular season play, this one against the Colbert Leopards. From the first few minutes of this game it was easy to tell this one would be an easy run away victory for our Bearcats.

Sr. Forward Bryce Martin was the leader of the first half stats with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist, with Sr. Guard Harlan House right behind him with 11 points, and the first half ended with a score of 37-15 Antlers.

The second half was more of the same as the Leopard’s were just no match for our Bearcats. Sr. Guard Harlan House was able to put up 9 points for this half, and Sr. Guard Caleb Smith was able to contribute 7, with and end score for the game of 68-44.
