Big names now out on DVD

The last few weeks of June bring some much awaited movies to DVD and Blue Ray. Being released the week of June 12th were:

Sherlock Holmes - Game of Shadows: (PG13) Robert Downey, Jr. and Jude Law return as Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson as they try to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.

The Assault: (R) On December 24th, 1994, heavily armed terrorists hijack an Air France plane with 227 passengers on board. The Assault shows the claustrophobic onboard drama as SWAT officers try to take back the plane.

Demoted: (R) What goes around comes around for a pair of prank playing tire salesmen who find themselves placed in secretarial jobs by their boss in this comedy.

Ghost Rider Spirit of Vengeance: (PG13) Nicholas Cage again stars as Johnny Blaze in the next installment of the Ghost Rider series. The action has shifted to Eastern Europe as the Ghost Rider tries to thwart the Devil’s plans to rule the Earth.

Good Deeds: (PG13) Tyler Perry stars as a successful businessman who has always done what is expected of him... until he meets a single mother who inspires him to live the life he’s always wanted.

A Little Bit of Heaven: (PG13) Kate Hudson and Woopie Goldberg star in this comedy that follows a shy young woman who, after getting life-changing news from her doctor, sets out on an eye opening adventure of self discovery.

Coming out this week (week of June 19th) are:

Big Miracle: (PG13) Inspired by a true story, this is the tale of a small town reporter and an animal-loving volunteer who are joined by world superpowers to save a family of majestic gray whales trapped by rapidly forming ice in the Arctic Circle. This is a great movie for the whole family to enjoy, staring Drew Barrymore and John Krasinski.

The Legend of Hells Gate: (R) This new western tells the story of how “Hell’s Gate” at Possum Kingdom Lake, Texas, came to have its name.

Project X: (R) Three High School seniors throw a birthday party to make a name for themselves. As the night progresses, it spirals out of control and becomes every parent’s worst nightmare.

Seeking Justice: (R) Nicholas Cage is Will Gerald, a family man whose life is turned upside down when his wife is brutally attacked.

Wanderlust: (R) Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd star in this new comedy about a Manhattan couple rattled by unemployment and have to look for alternative living arrangements. They ultimately decide to experiment with living on a rural commune where free love rules.
