Lucille Boling Lucille Boling, 79, passed from this life February 28, 2010 in Antlers. Lucille was born April 9, 1930 in Malaga, NM, to Leslie and Mary Jane (Jones) Bryant. She enjoyed being with her grandkids and great-grandkids, painting ceramics, and talking to friends on the telephone. She was a member of Linda's Paint Class. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents: Leslie and Mary Jane (Jones) Bryant; her husband: Wayne Boling in 2003; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her three children: Michael Wayne Boling and wife Gloria, Pattye Leona Boling - Kershaw, Debra Lynne Young and husband Leroy all of Antlers; one brother: Floyd Bryant and wife Lois of Harrington, KS; one sister: Judy Baker and husband Billy Jack of Loving, NM and eight grandchildren: Michael Boling, Jr., Shane Boling, Brian Boling, Sari Lawless, Brad Boling, Justin Young, Dylan Gregg, Jason Young; seven great-grandchildren: Jacy Lawless, Jackson Lawless, Phoenix Boling, Hope Boling, Alora Boling, Noah Boling & expecting Rowan Marie Young in June; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Antlers with Reverend Andy Reed and Brent Franks officiating. Musical selections included: “I Hope You Dance”, “Amazing Grace” and “Just as I Am”. Pallbearers included: Jason Lawless, Brian Boling, Brad Boling, Justin Young, Jason Young and Dylan Gregg. Honorary pallbearers included: Linda Frandsen, Ila Akard-Richardson and Mrs. Ruby Wheeler. Interment followed at the Finley Cemetery in Finley. Cheryl Dyan Donica Cheryl Dyan Donica, 54, a long time Antlers resident, passed from this life on Monday, March 1, 2010 in Wagoner, where she had been making her home. Cheryl was born October 21, 1955 in Star City, AR. After graduating from high school she attended college and began a career as waitress, baker and business owner. She is most remembered for her restaurant business. Cheryl liked gardening, fishing, camping, canoeing - anything to do with the outdoors. She was an accomplished oil painter, cook and baker. Cheryl’s family remembers her as a caregiver, whether to senior citizens for whom she cooked, by caring for all animals she found, or in caring for the ill. Cheryl’s children and grandchildren were her life. She would listen patiently to all her grandchildren’s stories and considered herself blessed by being their grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Kasey Valdivia and her husband, Richard, of Nampa, ID, Russell Marks of Greenwood, AR and Tera Moore and her husband, Shannon, of Wagoner; her parents, Aubrey Dean and Violet Hale; ten grandchildren, Heather Garman and her fiancé, Josh Johnson, Billy Wells, Hailey Garman, Avery Marks, Brittanny Moore, Hannah Garman, Elijah Marks, Bethanny Moore, Benjamin Marks and Keanu Valdivia; other family, including Christy Marks and Lyman Garman, and her many friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and aunts. A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 5, at the Mills-Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers. Aaron (Sandy) Sandidge Sandy Sandidge left life just shy of 75 years. He died in his home with his wife, Linda Sandidge, by his side on Friday, February 26, 2010. He was born the twin of a sister, Anna June McKee, on August 20, 1935 to Aaron Hodge Sandidge and Anna Lee Emmons Sandidge in Travis County Texas but grew up in southeastern Oklahoma. Sandy came back to his family home in the early 1980s after building a long career in air-conditioning in Dallas, TX. He continued his business locally for more than 30 years offering his many crafts to serve families near Antlers and Atoka. The American Sportsman’s Club honored him with the American Sportsman Award in 1975. He loved hunting, fishing, gardening, archery and was the long-time pilot of a small airplane. Sandy was a carpenter, public speaker and minister. His ashes will be spread on the same ground where he lived and his organs will be donated. He was preceded in death by his parents, his twin sister Anna June and two brothers, Alvin Henry and John Sandidge and his son Donnie Sandidge. He is survived by his wife, Linda Sandidge, his daughters Julia, Karen, and Shannon Sandidge, Tami Sandidge-Rivera, Kathi Olson and Dianna White. He was the stepfather of Robbie Sandidge, Gina Short and Becky Eeds. Sandy had many grand children including a recent visit by his granddaughters Rhiley Ethridge, Rhuby Noriyuki and Rhiley’s son, Sandy’s great-grandson Keean Ethridge. A memorial service will be held in memory of Aaron (Sandy) Sandidge at the Antler’s Church of Christ on Thursday, March 4th at 10:00 a.m. |

Harry L.S. Halley Harry L.S Halley, 66, passed from this life on February 16, 2010 after battling colon cancer since 2002. Harry was born March 13, 1943 in Paris, TX. He attended Antlers Elementary and Middle schools in Antlers, then attended Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore for high school. Harry joined the U.S. Navy and served four tours in Vietnam between 1962 and 1966, and was in the Naval Reserves for 23 years. After his service, Harry attended the University of Oklahoma and received a BA in Economics in 1972. He and his wife, Alana, moved to Hollywood, FL where he began his career as an insurance adjuster working first for General Motors, then Allstate, Independent Life, and finally for Insurance Servicing and Adjusting Companies. Harry was an avid fan of Oklahoma football and a member of the Tallhassee Sooners Club. His Favorite pastime was playing with his 2 year old granddaughter Shannon. He also enjoyed golf, fishing and being a handyman. Harry’s circle of friends spanned the globe because of his sincerity, friendship and willingness to help and serve others. He was a true friend to all. Harry is survived by Alana, his wife of 44 years; son Harry L.S. Halley III and fiancee Tracy Selman of Tallahassee, FL; son Nicholas (Roberta); and granddaughter Shannon of Tallahassee, FL; daughter Melissa of Norman; brother Billy Smallwood of Antlers; nieces Brandi, Jenna and Madeleine Smallwood of Antlers; nephew Trae (Ashley); great nephews William Smallwood IV and Kade Smallwood; great niece Sage Smallwood of Antlers; sister-in-law Jane Clark of Lake Forest, CA; niece Veronica (Oscar) and daughters Marissa and Rebecca Salgado of Lake Forest, CA and nephew Gene (Lex) Gilmore of Owassa. Memorial services were held at 11:00 am Friday, February 19, 2010 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
