Bobbie Lee Garman

Bobby Lee Garman was born November 1, 1937 in Kellond to Roy Ernest and Ethel Loretta (Haws) Garman. He passed from this life April 26, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 74. Bobby was a lifelong resident of the Antlers area. He married Anna Faye Shirley on July 7, 1956 in Hugo and together, they raised three children. Bobby worked as a Foreman for the Frisco Railroad for 20 years, retiring in 1990. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and raising animals. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents: Roy & Ethel Garman; grandparents: Ed & Minnie Garman and Lyman & Josie Haws; and two great-grandchildren: Brayson Brian Bates and Trention Lee Bates. He is survived by his wife: Anna Faye Shirley-Garman of the home; children: Linda Faye Carter & husband Donny of Stratford, Johnny Lee Garman of Antlers, and Lisa Ann Idleman & husband Mike of Antlers; grandchildren: Rodney Lee Cochran, Bobby Ray Cochran, Brian Roy Cochran, Kellie Leann Trent, Kevin Lee Garman, & Dustin Brian Bates; brother: Leroy Garman & wife Carolyn of Tamaha; sisters: Kaye Willeford & husband Dennis of Antlers, Patricia Kellett & husband Kenneth of Henryetta, and Teddy Ecoles & husband J. A. of Wilburton; numerous great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 30, 2012 at Living Water Church with Pastor Terry Vaughan and Pastor Ben Aguirre officiating. Music included: “Amazing Grace”, “Footprints In The Sand”, “Daddy’s Hands”, “Angel”, and “I Can Only Imagine”. Pallbearers included: Lyman Garman, Shannon Garman, Micheal Boling, Kenny Kellett, Jeffrey Kellett and Mike Christian. Honorary Pallbearers included: Larry Gather, George McFarland, and Troy Van Tassel. Interment followed at Antlers City Cemetery.
