Bonnie Jean Byrum

Bonnie Jean (Norman) Byrum passed from this life on August 7, 2013. Bonnie was born on June 8, 1935 in Harrisburg, AR to Jesse James Norman and Geneva Blanche (Grimes) Norman Pool. She married O.D. Byrum on November 17, 1951 in DeQueen, AR. Bonnie was a long time resident of Snow, but had lived the last 15 years with her granddaughter, Misty Taylor, in Grant. Bonnie was a florist and caregiver. She loved to travel and spend time with her family. Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Jesse James Norman and Geneva Norman Pool, by her step father Roy Pool, her husband O.D. Byrum, son James Odis Byrum, grandson Wesley D. Byrum, brother James Clifford Norman and sister Thelma J (Pool)(Simpson) Cope. She is survived by her son Loyd D. Byrum and wife Robin of Finley; daughter Brenda K. Bloodworth and husband Tommy of Messer; Granddaughters: Misty Taylor and Jamie Waits; Grandsons: Jeffery Gatlin and Chancy Bryum. She was blessed with ten great-grandchildren: Kolten, Kaleb, Kristen, Kamryn, Jay Michael, Brandon, Aaron, Ryan, Jordan, and Layla. Her brothers George Norman and wife Johnnie of Antlers; Kenneth Pool and wife Melody of Taylor, AR; sisters Royce Battles and husband Kenneth of Antlers; Troyce Wright and husband Doyle of Lancaster, TX; Marlicia Pugh and husand Vaughn of Clayton; and WaConda Holiman of Antlers along with a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Her services were held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 10, 2013 by Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo with interment at Finley Cemetery in Finley. Officiating was Brother Phillip Savage. Pallbearers were: Kolten Taylor, Kaleb Taylor, Jeffery Gatlin, Michael Davidson, Stoney Norman, Terry Ables, John Wesley Ables and Jesse James Ables.
