Cathie Laverne Robbins Greer Loftin

Cathie Laverne Loftin was born on November 23, 1942 to the late Dorothy (Walker) and Vernon Robbins in Black Fork, OK. She passed from this life on Monday, July 2, 2012 in Garland, TX., at the age of 69. Cathie was from the Nashoba area, but passed in Garland where she spent her last few weeks with her daughter. She was a very classy lady. She loved to cook but loved to eat it even more. She was a wonderful mother to her two daughters Robbi Dawn and Cathie Dale. She loved being a nanny. Cathie loved life. She liked to travel and spend time with her family and friends. Cathie worked at GTE in Garland, TX until she retired. She always wanted to move "home". Home was Oklahoma - and her wish came true. She retired, moved to Black Fork and built a log home on the creek bank where her mother was raised. It was the old Walker home place. She married Lawrence Loftin on November 23, 1994. Cathie was a strong Christian lady and she was a member of the Glory Hill Church. She loved the church and the people who attended the church there. She was active in the community and loved being involved and she helped everyone she could. Cathie will be loved and missed by her family forever. She was preceded in death by her parents: Vernon and Dorothy Robbins; Grandparents Walter and India (Barber) Walker and Dawson and Susie (Mayberry) Robbins; Daughter Charlotte Diane Greer; and Great-Granddaughter Avery Jade Thompson. Cathie is survived by her husband Lawrence Loftin, of Nashoba; daughter Robbi, and husband Luis Najarro, of Wylie, TX; daughter Cathie Dale, and husband Travis Mitchell, Garland, TX; Brother Lois, and wife JoAnn Robbins, of Ft. Myers, FL; Brother Millard Robbins, of Snow; Brother Virgil, and wife Debbie Robbins, of Tuskahoma; Brother Rodger, and wife Melissa Robbins, of Nashoba; Brother Travis, and wife Judy Robbins, of Indianola; Brother Johnny Robbins, of Tuskahoma; Brother Jeff, and wife Patty Robbins, of Antlers; Brother Weldon, and wife Tina Robbins, of Tuskahoma; Sister Connie, and husband Ron Reese, of Cement; Sister Patricia Butler, of Nashoba; Sister Deketa Parker, of Antlers; Sister Brenda, and husband Jim Wilson, of Rattan; Sister Sue, and husband Johnny Butler, of Snow; Sister Shyrl, and husband Gary Hill, of Finley; grandchildren: Anthony Galvan and wife Lisa; Daniel Galvan; Isabelle Najarro; Matt Turner; Sarah Thompson and husband Zach; Austin Loftin; Laura Loftin; and Rowdy Loftin. Great-Grandchildren: Maggie Galvan; Hadlee Thompson; and Matthew Turner; and numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thurday, July 6, 2012 at the Glory Hill Assembly of God in Finley with Larry Womack officiating. Pallbearers included: Larry Burke, Tommy Tyler, Frank Potter, Johnny Bulter, Larry Joslin and Doug Cagle. Interment followed at Black Fork Cemetery in Nashoba.
