Clarence Edward Kershaw was born May 23, 1942 in Antlers, to Dorris Raymond and Delcie Myrene (Jeter) Kershaw. He departed this earth at 7:15 p.m., Thursday, February 7, 2013, just like he so often said he would do, like the Wonderful One Hoss Shay. Clarence worked for the Federal Government U.S. Geological Survey MMS for 42 years. His easy smile, dry sense of humor, quick wit & easy going nature endeared him to all he met. Enjoy your reunion Honey, you know exactly what I want when I get to hold you again. You are so beloved. He left behind his wife of 47 years: Leta Goforth Kershaw; their two sons: Eddy Kershaw with wife Linda, daughter Kelsey & son Kenny and Tony Kershaw with wife Loni, sons Walker & Camden; adored older brother: Robert & wife Sue; treasured sisters: Patsy & husband Glenn, and Doris May; life-long friend & buddy: Larry Rose & wife Joan; and dear friends: Ralph Winters, Billy Don Prince, Dr. Kim Freeman, Larry & Christine Wilson, Terry Nelson, Ed Smith, John Shieve, Don Giroir, and others too numerous to mention, including his wifeâs brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, & co-workers; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at Mills & Coffey Chapel with Reverend Jim Collier officiating. Music will include âBlue Suede Shoesâ, âHound Dogâ, âEl Pasoâ, & âWhen I Get Where Iâm Goingâ. Pallbearers are Eddy Kershaw, Tony Kershaw, Kenny Kershaw, Walker Kershaw, Floyd Allen Eason, & Dusty Goforth. Interment will follow at Antlers City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you donate to your favorite charity or donate online at www.ek4da.com for Eddy's campaign.
