Club raises funds for Christmas lights

May 18, 2012

(not exact wreath that will be purchased)

The Town & Country Club of Antlers is currently trying to raise funds and accepting donations to replace the old Christmas decorations that adorned the power polls throughout the City of Antlers. Their hope is to replace every decoration with a new 48 inch pre-lit Christmas wreath.

It will take approximately 43 wreaths to make their overall goal come true, and at $185.00 per wreath they can’t do it alone. If all 43 wreaths are acquired, they will not only be placed on Main Street, but also on High Street. The goal is for them to span (on Main Street) from around Sharpe’s Department Store down to AmeriState Bank.

And on High Street, from City Hall down past High Street Pizza. The prices for these decorations are only locked in at $185.00 per wreath until June 1, 2012, and then will increase.

The Town & Country Club is seeking the help of local businesses, organizations and individuals through donations to make it possible for the City of Antlers to have new working lights to help herald in the holiday spirit.

The Club has also been selling raffle chances for a quilt and for an OU and OSU propane tank (grill size) piggy bank.

Anyone wishing to donate or who has any questions, please see Gayle Day at FirstBank.
