A personal injury collision resulted in a Rattan woman being flown to St. Johnâ€™s Hospital in Tulsa with head injuries on Sunday night.
Shelly Cook, 46 year old female of Rattan, was driving a 2000 Ford northbound on HWY 93 when she rain off the right side of the roadway, over-corrected and ran off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle struck the ground and overturned 3/4 times and came to rest on the driverâ€™s side.
Officers stated in their report that the cause of the collision was driving while under the influence of alcohol (DUI) and the driverâ€™s ability was impaired due to drinking.
Cook was transported to Pushmataha County Hospital in antlers and then was transported by Eagle Med to St. Johnâ€™s in Tulsa. She is listed in stable condition.
The wreck took place around 10:00 p.m., 5 miles north of Hugo on HWY 93 in Pushmataha County. There were no passengers in the vehicle.
The collision was investigated by Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Eric Blades, #209 of the Pushmataha County Detachment.
