Conservation District names contest winners

The first place winners of the Push. Co. Conservation Districts Poster Contest from Rattan Public School were: Jamie Jones, Selena Taylor, Cassidy Mack, Ashton Brown, Joshua Merida, Valerie Jones, Cady Ammons, Keaton Birchfield and Kallie Turner.

The Pushmataha County Conservation District recently judged their Poster Contest “Forest for People - More Than You Can Imagine” for students in Pushmataha County. 321 entries were turned in and the first place winners moved on to the Area Contest to be judged to see what entrees, if any, would continue on to State.

One entree placed at Area and will go on to be judged at a State level. This poster was created by Jamie Jones of Rattan.

The winners, first through third places, from around the county were: Kindergarten- Cady Ammons, Selena Taylor, Ashton Brown; 1st- Jamie Jones, Joshua Merida, Cassidy Mack; 2nd- Levi Owens, Alanna Agueri, Takota Frazier; 3rd- Aline Alexander, Shelby Cardona, Valerie Jones; 4th- Skyelar Cogburn, Kallie Turner, Lailah Walton; 5th- Keaton Birchfield, Luke McKnight and Taylor Sparks.
