Cooler weather leads hunters to break laws

October 19, 2012

With hunting seasons underway, and the hot summer temperatures giving way to fall like conditions, many hunters in the area have been itching to hit the woods and do some much anticipated camping and hunting.

However, when it is time to hunt, it is also time to have all your permits and licenses in order and to hunt safely and legally.

Mark W. Webb, of Nashoba, was recently ticketed by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife for taking a coon in a closed season and spotlighting around the Honubia area. He will face the courts on October 31, 2012 in an initial appearance at 10:00 a.m.

Daniel Calvin Webb, also of Nashoba, was also ticketed by the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife for head lighting, taking a furbearer in a closed season, not having a hunting license and not having a land access permit. He will appear in court on October 31, 2012, at 9:00 a.m.

Both individuals charged are innocent until proven guilty in the court of law.
