Curtis Sappington

Curtis Sappington was born December 27, 1929 in Stoddard County, MO., to Mr. & Mrs. Toyler. He passed from this life January 31, 2012 in Paris, TX, at the age of 82. Curtis married Joann Hamill November 6, 1977 in Bakersfield, CA. He liked going to church and reading his Bible, & working at the tire shop. He also enjoyed camping and fishing and riding his great-grandchildren around with him in his wheelchair. Most of all, he loved spending time with his wife, grandkids, & friends. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Clinton Toyler, Charles Toyler, Pete Toyler, & Troy Toyler; sister: Shirley Toyler; & grandparents: Mr. & Mrs. Pierce. He is survived by his wife: Joann of the home; children: Ronnie Sappington of Darwin and Jolene Pool & husband Michael of Snow; grandchildren: Brandon Pool, Jon Pool, Ronnie "RL" Sappington & wife Stormee, Amber "Abby" Pool, Sierra "Sweet Pea" Sappington, Angie Alvarez & family; great-grandchildren: Mason "Corkey" Webb, Madelynn "Happy" Sappington; brother: Dale Toyler of Marysville, CA; sisters: Wanda Toyler and Janet Toyler both of Marysville, CA; good friends: Steve & Joann Shanks of Farris, Ruth Nelson of Hall & Maggie Stewart of Antlers; as well as many other relatives and friends. Family Night was held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Antlers. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Darwin Cemetery with Pastor Gerald Vickers officiating. Music will be “Amazing Grace” & “Jesus, Hold My Hand”. Honorary Pallbearers include Ronnie Sappington, Ronnie Sappington, Steve Shanks, Michael Pool, & Clay Rogers. Interment will follow. Family and friends may send online condolences at
