David M. Milam

David M. Milam was born April 27, 1940 in Broken Bow to Eugene and Grace (Cotney) Milam. He passed from this life January 4, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 71. David proudly served his country in the United States Navy, retiring on November 2, 1984. He married Karen Kay Parks on February 14, 2009 in Honolulu, HI. David had been a resident of the Antlers area for the past 35 years. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, & spending time with his family and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents: Eugene & Grace Milam; and his wife: Judy Milam. He is survived by his wife: Karen of the home; children: Kellie McKenzie & Josh Redd of Oklahoma City, Jackie Sanders & husband Jimmy of Antlers, Jeffry Parks & wife Cheryl of Cold Spring, TX., Jason Parks of Henryetta, & Jay Masey & wife Toni of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Jessica Harrington of Benkelman, NE, Michelle Anchondo & husband Jaime of Sedgwick, CO, Logan McKenzie of Moyers, Tripp Sanders of Antlers, Portia Parks & Tisha Parks of Tecumseh, Tyler Parks of Cold Spring, TX, and Camryn Parks & Aidan Parks of Ramona; great-grandchildren: Peyton McKenzie of Moyers and Bentley Parks of Tecumseh; brother: Phillip Milam & wife Joann of Muskogee; sister Wilma Milam of Salem, OR; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at Antlers First Baptist Church with Pastor Billy Hunter officiating. Service music was “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Pallbearers were Members of the United States Armed Forces and Honorary Pallbearers included Otis Martin, Dooley Martin, Sam Smith, Ashley Harmon, Rick Ginn, Bob Clifton, Terry Pate, Dodd Duncan, & Monte Martin.
