David R. Elliott

David Elliott passed from this life Thursday, July 24, 2014 in Antlers, at the age of 70. David was born November 7, 1943 to Oda & Versie (Ford) Elliott. He was born and raised in Antlers. David went to Greenwood School and later transferred to Antlers School. He worked construction in Oklahoma City and spent about 20 years working for Buddy’s Plumbing until he retired in 2009. He also worked for Pepsi Cola out of Hugo. David loved to hunt and fish. He loved camping as well as spending time with his grandkids. He was always willing to help anyone out. David was known to most as a “Jack” of all trades. He is preceded in death by his parents, Oda & Versie Ford Elliott Nabors; brother, Odis Lee Elliott; brother, Jerald Elliott; brother, Vernon Elliott; sister, Dollie Petree; and sister, Irene Rose Brown. David is survived by son, Dwyane David Elliott & wife Kim of Atoka; son, Dustin Elliott & wife Mary of Antlers; daughter, Delinda Aguero of Antlers; brothers: Jewell Elliott & wife Carrol of Oklahoma City; Noah Elliott & wife Jane of Frances; Alford Nabors & Marie of Moyers; Paul Nabors & wife Jane of Antlers; sister, Mary Williams of Antlers; grandchildren: Rayle, Makayla, & Mackenzie Elliott, Adam Cole, Miranda, Anthony, Marissa, Marlena, Adriana, Allanna, Sarrena, Nevaeh, & Miley Aguero and Cory; great-grandchildren: Ayden and Rustin Conley; mother of his children, Dorothy Ann Elliott of Antlers, and special friend, Pete Hebblethwaite. Family night was held Friday, July 25, 2014 from 6-8pm at Burkhart Funeral Service in Antlers. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 10am in the Chapel at Burkhart Funeral Service in Antlers with Pastor Larry Crawford officiating. Interment followed at Antlers City Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service. Pallbearers included: Jarvis Nabors, Shawn Nabors, Tommy Williams, Lavell Williams, Norman Petree, John Petree, and honorary pallbearers were: Mark Williams and Herman W. “Pete” Hebblethwaite.
