Dorothy Allene (Knapp) Hise was born November 8, 1928 in Byers, TX to Martin and Margie (Sullivan) Knapp. She passed from this life February 5, 2013 in Antlers, at the age of 84. She received her GED. Dorothy was a homemaker. She married Alonzo Hise in 1948 at Stinnett, TX. Dorothy was a Baptist. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, quilting, reading, spending time with family, and taking care of grandkids and great grandkids. She is survived by her daughter Joyce Bishop of Antlers; son David Hise and wife Sheryl of Farris. Grandchildren: Ronnie Bishop of Antlers; Donnie Bishop of Antlers; LaRhonda “Sissy” Clay and husband Kevin of Antlers; Becky Erwin and husband Stacy of Paris, TX; Bryan Hise of Farris; Lequita Hise of Farris; Randy Hise of Talihina; Julie Hallows and husband Robert of Farris; Sherry Viefhaus and Chuck of Farris; Terry Hise of Antlers. Great Grandchildren: Cooper Clay, Lacey, Chelsea, Kennedy, and Mylee Bishop, Stacy Lynn and Thomas Erwin, Blake, Hise Jon Hise, Sarah Nuttall, Chea and Aaron Battiest, Madison Hallows, Leah and Laine McCollough, Stormy, Kaden, and Kincade Hise, Kavanna, Harley, Anyah, and Ariah Hise. Siblings: Bobby Knapp of Atoka; Martin Knapp and wife Patricia of Huntsville, TX; Dianna Hatcher of Antlers; JoAnn Flores and husband Eloy of Wilcox, AZ; Francis Ruth Pyle and husband Gene of Post Lake, FL; Juanita French and husband Lora “Pete” Zabala of Williams, AZ; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends. Preceded in death by: her husband, Alonzo Hise; parents Martin and Margie (Sullivan)Knapp;sister, Billie Faye Johnson and Sandra Collins; brother, Sammy Don Knapp. Funeral services were held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 7th, 2013 at the Darwin Cemetery, in Darwin with Bro.
