Edward L. Morse

Edward L. Morse was born November 12, 1928 in Rattan to Harry and Eva (Harper) Morse. He passed from this life December 9, 2011 in Rattan at the age of 83. Edward married Alma Ruth Davis on July 28, 1950 in Texarkana, AR. They were married 61 years. Edward worked as a livestock trader most of his life. He enjoyed fishing horseback, 4-wheelers, camping, playing dominoes, pitch, and working cattle. Most of all Edward enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, telling stories. Edward was preceded in death by his parents: Harry & Eva Morse; brother Audrey Morse; son-in-law: Tommy Tollett. He is survived by his wife: Ruth Morse, of the home; his children: LaVonne Tollett, Reba Harmon, Randy & Felicia Morse, all of Rattan; grandchildren: Eddie & Carla Tollett of Shawnee, Justin & Delinda Tollett of Ada, Lani Cranfield of Rattan, Jessi Southard of Rattan, Megan & Kyle Self of Durant; great grandchildren: Gracie Tollett, Alex Tollett, Tomie Tollett, Hanna Southard, Mariah Sanchez, Gabe Soto, Lexi Cranfield, Timber Young; as well as many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011 at Victory Assembly of God with Pastor David Goff officiating. Pallbearers included Dee Hunt, Randy Morse, Kyle Self, Charley Self, Eddie Tollett, & Justin Tollett with Honorary Pallbearers as Billy Glass, Jerry Priddy, Warren Davis, Linda Glass & Doyle & Deon Duke.
