Ellen Virginia Whisenhunt passed from this life on Wednesday, August 13, 2014, in Paris, TX., at the age of 84. She was born August 2, 1930, to William and Minnie (Johnson) Turner in Sand Bluff. Ellen married Eunes Eugene Whisenhunt on December 30, 1946. Ellen was a devoted member of Grapevine Pentecostal Church of God where she loved singing and playing the bass guitar. She loved plants and flowers and loved to spend time with her family. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, William and Minnie Turner; husband, Eunes Whisenhunt; brother, Jack Turner; sister, Minnie Mae Allen; and sister, Opal Charlene Walker "Tiny", and an infant brother; Willie Cufford Turner. She is survived by daughter, Linda Fipps of Lewisville, TX; daughter, Charlene Reynolds of Antlers; son, Charles Whisenhunt and wife Donna of Lewisville, TX; son, Randy Whisenhunt of Antlers; daughter, Debby Thompson and husband Kenny of Antlers; granddaughter, Donna Thompson of Lewisville, TX; grandson, Harold Stinger Lewisville, TX; granddaughter, Barbara Maynard and husband Stephen of Antlers; grandson, Robert Reynolds Jr. and wife Crystal of Hugo; granddaughter, Keyana Rincker of Hubbard, TX; grandson, Kenneth Whisenhunt of Lewisville, TX; grandson, Wesley Thompson of Antlers; granddaughter, Tammy Wiser and husband John of Redding, CA; 11 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Lewis Turner of Freewater, OR; brother, Elmer Dow Turner of Perkins; as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Family night was held Friday, August 15, 2014, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00pm at Burkhart Funeral Service in Antlers. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 16, 2014, at 2:00pm in the Burkhart Chapel in Antlers with Jerry Burns officiating. Interment followed at Boswell Cemetery under the direction of Burkhart Funeral Service. Pallbearers included: Robert Reynolds, Jimmy Freeman, John Walker, Charlie Davis, Bryce Talbot, and David Turner.
