Grace E. Nelson

Grace E. Nelson passed from this life on Thursday, April 17, 2014 in Oklahoma City, at the age of 91. She was born November 23, 1922 to Royal and Mabel (Reynolds) Robb in Stewartsville, Indiana. Grace married David Nelson on June 14, 1947 in Stewartsville, Indiana. Grace was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was very gracious, kind, and caring; she had a deep love for the Lord. She was very devoted to her family and loved spending time with them playing games and cards. She adored her grandchildren. Grace also enjoyed cooking and flowers. Grace is preceded in death by her husband, David Nelson; son, Tom Nelson, sister, Lois Bennett, sister, Ruth “Benny” Nelson; brother, Everett Robb; brother, Howard “Cubby” Robb; brother, Frank Robb; sister-in-law, Mary Robb; brother-in-law, Eden “Pat” Nelson; sister-in-law, Leah Nelson; brother-in-law, Robert Raglin; niece, Rita Robb; nephew, Bill Bingman, and nephew, George Bennett. She is survived by daughter, Patsy Witzel of Oklahoma City; grandson, Ross Witzel of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Jennifer Tucker & husband, Chris of Oklahoma City; brother, Richard “Brick” Robb of Danville, Indiana; brother-in-law, Elwood Nelson & wife, Ruth of Antlers; sister-in-law, June Walker & husband, Richard of Antlers; sister-in-law, Joann Beeson & husband, Jack of Edmond; sister-in-law, Betty Nelson of Carmi, Illinois; brother-in-law, Robert Nelson of Carmi, Illinois; brother-in-law, Charles Bennett of New Hampshire; Richard’s children: Hal, Alan, Ida & Barbara; Elwood’s children: Peggy, Jimmie, Susie, & Butch; June’s children: Barb & Bob; Joann’s son, David; Betty’s children: Ann, Jeff, & Steve; Robert’s children: Tony & Debbie; Charles’ children: Stephen & Karen as well as numerous other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Chapel at Burkhart Funeral Service in Antlers where Pastor Bob Weeks officiated. Interment followed at Nelson-Potter Cemetery of Coffee Creek Road in Antlers. If you would like to make a donation in lieu of flowers please direct it to The American Cancer Society.
