Hazel Mae Cockrill was born November 6, 1942 in Antlers to Eugene Ace & Mary Lois (Smith) Duncan. She passed from this life June 10, 2011 in Springdale, AR., at the age of 68. Hazel had lived in the Antlers area for all of her life until she joined her daughter in Arkansas just one short month ago. She enjoyed fishing, crafts, & shelling pecans to sell. She had a funny personality and enjoyed playing tricks & jokes on people. Hazel loved children in general, but was especially in love with her grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Hazel was preceded in death by her husband: Samuel Morris Cockrill; two sons: Morris Gene Cockrill & Richard Calvin Cockrill; father: Eugene Ace Duncan; and a sister: Christine Turner. She is survived by her children: Randy Cockrill & wife Charlotte of Antlers, Tammy Rogers & husband Samuel of Springdale, AR., and Tina Cockrill & Lance Hubbs of MT; grandchildren: Aaron Cockrill, Alisha Cockrill, Adam Cockrill, Justin Rogers & wife Amanda, Jenifer Rogers & John Lastiri, Joshua LeFlore, Joseph LeFlore & wife Leigha, Dakota Hubbs, & Kenny Hubbs; great-grandchildren: Jake Lastiri, Ella Rogers, & Braylen LeFlore; mother: Mary Lois Duncan; siblings: Shirley Harvey, W. A. Duncan, Bill Duncan, Gail Bartlett, Daniel Duncan, Jackie Duncan, & Mary Ann Duncan all of Antlers; as well as many other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Antlers City Cemetery with Pastor Don LeFlore and Randy Cockrill officiating. Musical selections included â€śHallelujah Squareâ€ťand â€śTears Will Never Stain The Streets Of That Cityâ€ť performed by Larry Crawford and Janice LeFlore. Honorary pallbearers included: Aaron Cockrill, Adam Cockrill, Justin Rogers, John Lastiri, Joshua LeFlore, Joseph LeFlore, Dakota Hubbs and Kenny Hubbs.
