James “Leon” Hale

James “Leon” Hale was born to James ‘Fred’ Hale and Nadine Hale on September 4, 1951 in Rio Arriba, NM. He passed from this life on Monday, September 3, 2012 in Antlers at the age of 60. Leon enjoyed fishing, hunting, being outdoors, playing his guitar, but most of all enjoyed spending time with his dog, “Lady.” His family and friends will always remember him as being the jokester of the family. Leon was preceded in death by his father, James ‘Fred’ Hale on August 2, 1999 and is survived by his mother, Nadine Hale of Antlers; one daughter, Mariah Hale of Oklahoma City; one son, Jimmy Pitts of Stroud; four sisters, Loretta Cottrell of Antlers, Bobbie Smith of Antlers, Connie Simolke and her husband David of Antlers, Amy Taylor and her husband Jake of Antlers; five brothers, Steve Hale and wife Carolyn of Coushatta, LA., Eddie Hale and wife Kathy of Milfay, Marvin Hale of Milfay, Ricky Hale of Antlers, and Wendell Hale and wife Jeanetta of Stroud. He had many, many nieces and nephews who he loved spending time with as well. Leon’s wishes were to be cremated and at this time no arrangements have been made for a memorial service.
