Jessie Harold Taylor was born April 25, 1958 in Sobol to Wilson and Deloris (Billy) Taylor. He passed from this life September 23, 2011 in Hugo at the age of 53. Jessie Taylor married Angela Luper in Goodwater on February 3, 2006. The most important people in his life were his wife, girls, and his large family that he loved spending time with. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting. He was a shade tree mechanic, carpenter, and all around handy man. Jessie was preceded in death by his mother: Deloris Taylor; three brothers: Kurt Taylor, Jeff Taylor and Wilson Taylor, Jr.; one nephew: Donald Porky Vanhoose; one niece: Jennifer Taylor; and a great nephew: Dakota Vanhoose; grandmas: Nellie Billy and Ida Taylor. He is survived by his wife: Angie of the home; children: Raymond Taylor & wife Kendra of Hugo, Misty Riggs & husband Troy of Talihina, Amanda Dawn Taylor, Samantha Jane Taylor, and Baylyn Laraine Taylor all of the home; grandchildren: Ethan Taylor, Anthony Chandler, Trevor Malakowsky, and Trace Malakowsky; father: Wilson Taylor, Sr.; brothers: Steve Taylor & wife Lisa of Ringold, Rayburn Taylor, Sr. & wife Tonya of Sobol, John Taylor, Sr. & wife Nikki of Sobol; sisters: Velma Whisenhunt & husband Pat of Emory, TX, Karen Burt & husband Danny of Hugo, Phyllis Bohanon & Gary Tollett of Sobol, Ava Hilton & husband Charles, Sr. of Talihina, Brenda Haycraft & husband Dean of Hugo, Jennifer Davidson & husband Aubrey of Rattan; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at the Goodwater United Methodist Church with Reverend Rosa Baker and Pastor Tommy Wesley officiating. Musical selections included: Special Music by Edgar Taylor and Lyndon Crow. Pallbearers were David Vanhoose, Bryan Taylor, Ryan Taylor, Caleb Taylor, Byington Taylor, Kirk Taylor , Stoney Burt, Allen Haycraft, Joshua Taylor, Charlie Hilton, Joe Hilton, Keegan Bohanan, Rayburn Taylor, Jr., Jonathan Samuels, Ira Taylor, Meshach Taylor , John Taylor, Jr., Glen Davidson and Dustin Davidson. Honorary pallbearers were Nathan Taylor, Jeremy Taylor, Jon Taylor and Greg Vanhoose. Interment followed at the Goodwater Cemetery in the Goodwater Community.
