Johnny Frazier

Johnny L. Frazier was born May 6, 1941 in Finley to Isaac Frazier & Catherine (Walker) Austin. He passed from this life February 21, 2012 in Talihina at the age of 70. Johnny was a lifelong resident of the Antlers area. He had served his country in the United States Army in the 1960s. He also served his community as an officer for the Antlers Police Department where he worked until his retirement. Johnny was a member of Old Cedar Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his family and friends. Johnny was preceded in death by his first wife: Margaret Johnson Frazier; second wife: Vera Meshaya Frazier; parents: Isaac Frazier & Catherine Austin; stepfather:  Benjamin Austin; stepmother: Anna Mae Frazier; stepdaughter: Faye Jordan; granddaughter: Miranda Johnson; brother: Leon “Charlie” Edwin Austin; and a nephew: Dawson Primeaux. He is survived by his brothers & sisters: Mary Dale Frazier, Ollie & Chuck Madbull, Isaac Frazier, Jr. all of Antlers, Tony Frazier of Antlers, Donell & Elizabeth Frazier of Antlers, Eugenia & Custer Martinez of Finley, Dwight Austin of Finley, Rebecca Sapulpa of Finley, Shelly & Cubby Greenwood of Finley; and his stepchildren: Howard & Lisa Johnson of LaVaca, AR, Herman Johnson of Snow, Billy Joe & Ruth Ann Johnson of Hugo, Jerry Don & Shirley Johnson of Finley, Glenn Johnson & Marlene of Dallas, TX; Robin Meshaya of the home, Stephanie Samuels of Muskogee, Kimberly Hoog of Muskogee, Tiffany Wilson of Antlers, Daniel Wilson of Soper, Gayle & Scott Burr of Talihina, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews; and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Lester Tims officiating. Pallbearers included Jerry Williams, Tim Wesley, Tyler Johnson, Justin Johnson, Chris Johnson, & Daniel Wilson with Honorary Pallbearers as Dewayne Morgan, Victor Eyachabbe, Andy Choate, Preston Meshaya, Terry Meshaya, Dwight Austin, Isaac (Tinker) Frazier, Tony Frazier, Donell Frazier, Calvin Smith, John Alan Mitchell, & Kevin Antwine.
